Dr.Narjes Benameur received the Ph.D. Degree in Biophysics and Medical Imaging in 2017 from the Higher Institute of Medical Technologies of Tunis-Tunisia. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of Biophysics and Medical Technologies, University of Tunis el Manar. Her current research interests include Medical Imaging, with a focus on cardiac motion estimation, segmentation, and statistical modeling. She works with world renowned experts in the field of echocardiography and cardiac MRI at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy. In parallel, she participated at several projects in the field of cardiovascular physiology, involving international partners and focusing in both signal (ECG, Strain analysis, and more recently 4D Modeling) and image (Echo, MRI) processing. Since 2015, she started getting interested in tumor hypoxia, particularly the use of hyperthermia for cancer treatment. As a result, together with her current teaching activities, her research interests also include digital health topics, such as smartphone utilization for physiologic parameters extraction, patient engagement and persuasive technologies and big data applications.
